A reminder now that we have been upgraded so far to an Amber Weather Warning there is a risk of power cuts within the city and the shire. Better to be prepared than not!

Please have :-

• Torches checked are working and plenty battery life, candles/camping lights.
• Today check your generators are fully operational and have enough fuel.
• Plenty warm clothes and blankets at the ready.
• Hot water bottles/heat packs if required.
• Plenty food that doesn’t need cooking.
• Bottled water if you have water pumps.
• Camping stoves for cooking and boiling water.
• Phone banks and phones/kids tablets charged up.
• Ensure you have enough fuel in your car, if you have an electric car it’s charged up.
• Secure all garden furniture and outside toys.

Please also check on any elderly/disabled neighbours to see if they need any provisions too and have all they need.

Please don’t travel if you don’t have to.
